The FAA completed the Record of Decision (ROD) in April 2005 for the Runway 17-35 Extension Project. To view the ROD, please click here.
The ROD documents final agency decisions, the FAAs compliance with applicable regulations and environmental approvals for Federal actions necessary to extend Runway 17-35 at the PHL. After a thorough and careful review of the public comments and analysis of all impacts documented in the March 2005 FEIS and Project record, the FAA has determined that the Proposed Project does achieve the Purpose and Need and is the environmentally Preferred Alternative.
